long time picker that has tried on and off to stop, but its hard to stop when you don't even realize you are doing it.
one problem is that i can pick one handed. ie, on my right hand for instance, i use my index finger to pick my thumb, my middle finger/ring finger to pick my index finger, my thumb to pick my middle finger...
so, when driving or watching tv, it just happens subconsciously without me thinking about it.
anyone else have that ability?
I'm a long time picker, but I only pick my thumbs. I do use my index fingers to pick my thumbs though. I am happy to say that I have not picked my thumbs in over 20 days! I think about how nice picking would feel but my better looking thumbs give me motivation to kick this habit once and for all. I am doing it in hopes that my thumb nails will regrow correctly again.
Yes, I do this too! I don't even realize I'm doing it. I drive other people (especially my boyfriend) crazy unintentionally and it makes me feel awful. Sometimes I'll pick at a flake of dry skin with one hand until it starts to peel back and then bite it off with my teeth D: And then that's when I realize what I'm doing.
I do this as well, it is kind of like this strange mutant ability. I have actually in the worst times of picking contorted my arms all over the place while driving to pick in all kinds of strange ways. I didn't know that anyone else had that issue too! lol. This site has already made me feel a lot better LOL.
